Expansion Licenses

SL-AEC4

The SL-AEC4 is a software extension that activates the Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) feature on the LUNA-F flexible networked audio matrix processors. This allows acoustic echo cancellation algorithms to be enabled for up to 4 independent channels (maximum). With this extension, users can ensure clear communication and a better overall audio experience in their designated space.

Licensing

The license should be assigned to the device's MAC address on the AUDAC Manager website. The details about the AUDAC Manager can be found in the AUDAC Manager section. The MAC address can be found in device settings, under Network Settings.

Once the device is licensed for the feature on AUDAC Manager, please follow the steps below to activate the license assigned to your LUNA-F. The device should be connected to the internet.

Click on the Device menu on the front screen and scroll right for the Licenses screen. To download the license, click on the “Check online for new license” tab. The LUNA-F will ask you for the pin code. If you have not changed the pin code, the default is 0000.

Once the correct pin code is entered, the device will check for new licenses. If a new license is assigned successfully to your LUNA-F, you will see the message “License found.”.

Inputs, Outputs and Settings

Near In

Not Available

Near In can also be named as Near-End; this can be a meeting room where the microphone or microphones and local PA are located. A single source coming from an analog input (e.g. a tabletop microphone), a Dante input (e.g. NPM200), or a mix of multiple sources from a zone can be the Near In.

Using multiple microphones may reduce AEC efficiency.

Muting any microphone will interrupt the adaptive filter that allows the AEC feature to function properly.

Disable AGC (Automatic Gain Compensation) on the input channel that will feed into the AEC block.

Far In

Not Available

Far In can also be named as Far-End; this is a remote person in the online meeting, and Far In is the output of the video conference system in use.

Far Out

Not Available

Far Out provides the filtered signal back to the video conferencing system.

Mapping

In this example, we have multiple microphones (e.g. NPM200) and a video conference system connected to the LUNA-F.

Multiple microphones (e.g. NPM200) are mixed in a zone and then mapped to the AEC Near In. The same zone output is mapped to another zone to be mixed with input from another location (e.g. input from a video conferencing system) to feed local PA.

The Far In input of the AEC should be fed with input from another location (e.g. input from a video conferencing system).

The Far Out output is mapped to any output that can feed the video conferencing system.
