Primary and Secondary Dante Ports (only LUNA-F)

Device

The LUNA-F can establish a redundant Dante™/AES67 system through its primary and secondary Dante™ ports. In a non-redundant system, in split mode, the primary Dante™ port is used for Dante data flow, while the secondary Dante port can be used to control the system. In switched mode, multiple devices can be connected together as daisy chain.

In addition, LUNA-F has 3 different IP addresses: 2 IP addresses from the Brooklyn module and another IP address from Linux.

Configuration can be done from the network configuration under device view menu in Dante Controller.

Redundant mode

2 complete separate networks with separate switches need to be provided, named VLAN primary and VLAN secondary. If one VLAN fails, the other will take over.

Split mode

Control and Audio are split into 2 separate networks, named VLAN primary (audio) and VLAN User 2 (Control). You can divide control and Dante but cannot do redundancy and divide at the same time. You need to manually reboot the LUNA-F device after setting the switch configuration as Split.

Daisy Chain mode

In this mode, multiple devices can be daisy-chained.
